FAQ – Dog Walking

Q: What is your service area?

A: We service the greater Seattle area for dog walking, cat sitting and puppy training. This includes the following neighborhoods: Downtown, Pioneer Square, Belltown, Capitol Hill, First Hill, International District, Lake Union, Ballard, Queen Anne, Magnolia, Greenwood, Fremont, Wallingford, Maple Leaf, and more!

Q: Do you have an available dog walker?

A: Probably! Send us the details and we will let you know if we have an appropriate caregiver on staff with room on their schedule.

Q: Are you insured?

A: Yup! We are fully insured, licensed and bonded, and our employees are covered under our insurance.

Q: Can I speak to someone on the phone before booking?

A: Yes! Our office hours are 9am to 5pm, Monday through Friday.

Q: Will I have the same dog walker?

A: We do like to keep dogs with the same walker when possible. Dog walkers can get sick, have emergency car trouble, or go on vacation. We will notify you if we need to switch walkers and give you the option of canceling rather than substitution.

Q: What about keys?

A: We like to keep two copies of a key on file for our regular clients, please have them ready at the initial consultation to avoid extra trips.

Q: I can’t get two copies? Now what?

A: We can deal with one copy and a SOLID back up plan, meaning someone who can give us access to your pets to care for them, at our convenience. This may be a landlord, friend, family, neighbor who has a back up key. They must be in town while you are traveling and available to help in an emergency.

Q: Can you do two visits per day?

A: Yes, we often schedule two visits per day for puppies and older pets, in the late morning and late afternoon

Q: Do you walk aggressive dogs?

A: If your animal has a previous bite history we may not be able to service your family for dog walks. Some animals may be fearful or cautious, we do have caregivers who can deal with this and your visit will be assigned carefully. If needed, we can do ramp up slowly, and condition your dog to being walked by us. If your dog is extremely fearful or under socialized to strangers, we may need to start with a training package first, and then transition into regular dog walks. We do not visit with other neighborhood dogs when walking.

Q: What do I need to provide for my caregiver?

A: Any supplies we may need to adequately care for your pet including treats, toys, poop bags, leash, harness when appropriate, and a crate available for emergencies. Dogs should be wearing a pet id tag on their collar or harness. microchip is also preferred.

Q: Does my pet need to be up to date on their vaccinations?

A: Yes, but we do not need proof unless you are visiting with another clients dog.
